While in sessions with clients, I like to reflect on past thought processes and situations that led to certain actions. Using CBT, the client is then able to see what the outcome could have been if they had challenged their thought process. This can help a client make different choices in the future. I also like to provide education on the effects alcohol and drugs can have on a person and their lives.
